Floriade

Floriade is on again in Canberra and I finally ventured down to it after 3 years of saying "I'm going to go". It was a fantastic day and even for a person who has no real interest in flowers it was a alot of fun.

Lots of colour and activities to do. I got to make a colourful arrangement in a Hanging basket and I got to keep it, all for free. All the pics (well the good ones anyway) are here. Here are two photos from the set on Flickr.

As the day went on I said Yes I will line up. So unlike all those people who lined up for days in front of the apple store in Sydney for the iPad I waited only 2 hours with a Lemon Lime bitters slurpee in my hand from 7-11 and secured one once 5pm came around. I wasn't alone. 2 ...

Gordon Falls - Leura

Gordon Falls - Leura Originally uploaded by Squeakaz A beautiful, tranquil part of the Blue Mountains. The photo is only a small part of the entire Gordon Falls but none the less still demonstrates what it is like. This shot was taken after I picked up my new camera body from Lithgow after my unfortunate incident at Catherine Hill Bay.
