Crust Pizza for Dinner

Saturday was a rather long day but an enjoyable one. After purchasing our new washing machine we headed to Lithgow to see the Mother in law for afternoon tea, who then proceeded to tell us she was coming down to Penrith that night anyway! BAH! Not a wasted trip as I didn't mind the drive and the foods?

So the Mother in Law followed us down the mountains and Mrs Squeak suggested we try Crust Pizza for dinner. I ordered it for collection on the way home. We ordered:

BBQ - Marinated Chicken Breast Fillets, Mushrooms, Spanish Onions and Shallots on a BBQ base with Feta (pic below)

Mediterranean Lamb - Slow Cooked Mediterranean Lamb, Tomato, Fresh Capsicum, Spanish Onions, Feta, Oregano, garnished with Mint Yoghurt and Lemon on a Garlic Infused base. (pic below)

The service was excellent and the pizza's even better! However.... We ordered the Lamb pizza minus the capsicum, but when we got the pizzas home we found it to have capsicum on it! I rang the store promptly and the manager was extremely apologetic and we had to fresh hot pizzas on the door step within 15 mins for free and got to keep the other pizzas!!  We will definitely be eating there again and I would highly recommend Crust Pizza to anyone who hasn't tried it!

Its that time of year - Safety Competition

Yesterday was my employers annual safety competition in which I was lucky enough to compete. The morning started of with a hearty breaky of bacon and egg rolls. Over Breakfast with D and Woo, Woo showed me her new lens and explained how it works. An impressive piece and, some excellent shots were captured throughout the day by her. After that the day went into full swing! There were various displays from all the different areas of my employer and also some of the suppliers/ companies that my employer has alliances with. The idea of the day is to put our skills into practice against other people in various competitions and also to broaden our knowledge on safety. The day also allows us to have a chat to others that are from many different areas and learn about how their job has an impact on mine or vice versa. I can say I came out of yesterday more knowledgeable. The competitions I entered into were : Train Faults and Failures - T Set Waratah PP...

Favourite Photo - Flying Embers

I had only recently gotten my camera and Got called away with the RFS to head to a large fire burning in Nowra. I took my camera along to experiment with it at night as I was doing the night shift on the fireground. I took this photo when the wind came up and I noticed the trail being left in the air by the embers. I was amazed at how it turned out, seeing that I had no idea about settings or f stop or anything to do with my camera at the time.
