Squeakaz Squawking's ....

Its been a while since I have posted a favourite photo. So even though this post is about many photos, it still doesn't make up for it, so I shall see if i can try to post a few more in the future. I struggled to find one photo that I have liked lately as a friend of mine Woosang, has been going crazy with her cameras. Here is one of her recent shots. New years Eve 2010 was spent with some really great friends. Leigh, Amanda, Megan, Katherine and I all gathered at the Parramatta River to see the fireworks and enjoy the festivities they had on offer. It was a great relaxing evening. The fireworks were at 9pm so after they concluded we headed on back to Leigh and Amanda's place to watch the midnight fireworks in Sydney on TV. This was soo much better than being crushed in the city by crowds like we were the previous year. It was a wonderful way to see in 2011.

Even though my wedding was in March I will never grow tired of looking at my wedding photos. Recently one of my best friends Drue (who was one of my groomsmen) uploaded some photos that were taken using his camera on the day.  Even though the professional shots were good, I think nothing beats the other angle. I think that is the right term to use. (please correct me if i am wrong) I refer to what is happening in this photo. Whilst we are looking towards the professional photographer a photo has been snapped to capture the moment from a different angle. The photo captures exactly the same things as the professional shot such as our smiles, background and the pose but how another person is seeing it.  Thankyou so much to Drue for these photos and being a part of our special day.

Time for a little catching up. Its been 2 weeks since I last posted and to be honest nothing really major has happened. Let me see... I am really enjoying my job and I am loving the shifts. It is mainly night work as we do the majority of the testing when the other trains have finished their runs for the night. This means I am sleeping during the day and surprisingly I am managing to obtain 7-8 hours sleep, even with my inconsiderate neighbours. On the new home front everything is moving along nicely at the moment. I shall have an update for my building blog http://www.squeakbuilds.blogspot.com this weekend. Our little puppy is growing fast and is currently in the rebellious teenager stage of his life. This is proving to be a lot of fun as he is choosing to ignore alot of the ground rules that have been set down for him. Left to Right - Me, Damien, Leigh and Eric Congratulations to one of my best mates Leigh who got married on Sunday 29/08. It could not have been a better day for it. The sun was shining and the day was set. His Bride is one of the most beautiful people I know, and looked absolutely stunning!!  I had 2 things to do that day. First one was to get Leigh to the wedding on time or early. The second was not to forget the rings. I can say that I successfully completed both, even getting Leigh to the wedding early!! After getting ready we headed off to the venue and en route we stopped at Revesby Station to get some photos. The photo above is one of them. We don't actually scrub up that bad :-)

True friends are hard to come by these days but you sure know when you have found one. To me a true friend is someone who will stand by you no matter what, provide support to you, someone who you can turn to in a time of need and a person who you can have fun with or just sit on the couch and watch a movie. Some traits I believe a true friend should hold is: honesty, trust, compassion, understanding, sympathy and empathy. Over the past few days I have been a little down and its during times like that, your true friends really show. It is good to be able to have somebody listen and say nothing, and you know that they are taking it all in and no matter what you tell them your friendship is only growing stronger by the second. Over the past week I received many phone calls, tweets and messages from friends, however I had a very unexpected visit today from a person who has become a very close and true friend to me over the past few years and to him I say a gracious and humble thank...

(Click to view on Flickr) Spending a day with friends is always good. This photo is of one of Koopa. He belongs to my good friend Drue. After a little while down at the Nepean river taking photos of trains and scenery we went back to his place to take photos of his dogs. The thing I like the most about this photo is the colours and the angle at which the photo is taken.

A most pleasurable day was had on Wednesday. After work and the gym I traveled down to Picton to see Dave and Woo and try this "all you can eat" afternoon tea I had heard so much about. Unfortunately Woo was sick, but thankfully she is on the mend. We were also joined by Beau and Azzie. I was not disappointed. The company was great, the food was great and the photos are great! (Click photo to view on Flickr) Just before heading out to afternoon tea, Dave gave me a quick tour of the old rail tunnel and then to a vantage point to grab the above photo. Thanks to Dave for the pointers. Had a really good chat with Dave on the way home before dropping him at Kingswood station with just minutes to spare to get the train. Pity everyday couldn't be like this one.
